I’m really happy to share with you a shrimps recipe so quick and so delicious you’ll be thinking about it for days after you’ve tried it.
This can be the perfect recipe for a romantic evening, mostly because it’s with shrimp and by the end of dinner you’ll both be elbow deep in the pan for the last bits.
Somehow, I found that meals that feature bread are a great choice for lively dinners. I can’t explain why, but great conversation starts at such meals. Pair the present recipe with a decent white wine and you’ve got a guaranteed successful dinner party.
500g peeled shrimps
4-5 spoons of olive oil
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 hot chili diced (or 1 tsp chili flakes)
5 cloves of garlic
A bunch of parsley
Freshly ground pepper
Your favorite sourdough bread
Heat the oil in a medium sized pan on medium to high heat. Add 1/2 tsp of sea salt, the chopped garlic, the chopped hot chili and stir for 15 seconds.
Add the paprika, give it a quick stir and then add the shrimps. Coat them in the oil and let them cook for one minute. After 2-3 minutes, when they shrimp are opaque and bit orange, they’re done. Season with pepper and taste if more salt is needed.
Squeeze some lemon on top and serve in the hot pan next to a simple side salad made with lettuce and cucumbers.
Enjoy dipping that bread in the spicy oil!
